archaos elections 2006

Archaos held its annual elections over a fortnight in November and the results are now confirmed.

This year the nominees for co-chair involved students from London Met, De Montfort and UcCA. The co-chairs elect are RIBA Council Student Member Lee Wilshire and London Met student Caine Crawford. The elections this year saw a turnout of four times that of last years' in a heated competition between the nominees.

Additional positions within the executive committee of archaos were also contested and have been filled with people elected from a number of schools around the UK

archaos network

ARCHAOS network - So this is our big plan for the year - setting up a network of the architecture student societies in the UK. It should bring benefits for all architecture students, allowing members of one society to attend the lectures/events of another and providing support for schools who don't have a society (yet) or who want to set up their own. It also helps us to keep in contact with all the students in the country, helping us to stay in touch with the people we're meant to be representing and working on behalf of and making it easier for you all to get in touch with us too perhaps.

Archaos Network was launched at the Cantebury forum and the network web pages will be online soon. If you're school wasn't at the forum and wants to get involved email kevin@archaos.org for more information.
