Is it any wonder that the buildings that issue from the pens of the male-individual-genius-heroes tend to share the same characteristics?

They stand as objects, caught in photographs at the moment of perfection, empty (people can be so upsetting), silent, out of time (because time brings dirt, night, and chance), Their main virtue is their beauty.

And is it not both a tragedy and an inevitability that these very values are inculcated in our education?

BUT....
